3 Strategic Benefits of English Mastery for PT Midi

From my personal point of view, Managing English is extremely important because it has become the key to unlocking many opportunities in today’s world. English is widely recognized as the global language of business, technology, education, and international communication. Managing English effectively requires more than just knowing vocabulary and grammar; it involves actively improving, practicing, and using English to connect with others in many different settings. When a person manages their English skills well, they can communicate clearly and confidently, avoid misunderstandings, and access a broader range of knowledge, resources, and networks. This capability becomes especially important in careers, travel, education, and technology, where English often serves as a bridge between people from different countries and cultures. I personally believe that good English management enriches life, makes it easier to learn new things, and opens doors to collaboration and global community.

From the perspective of my role as President Commissioner of PT Midi, English management takes on strategic significance beyond personal development. Although PT Midi currently focuses on expanding domestically within Indonesia, managing English well is an important factor in preparing the company to compete better and improve its operations. In the retail business, clear and effective communication is crucial when dealing with suppliers, business partners, and stakeholders who may come from different countries or have knowledge that is primarily in English. By managing English skills within the company, we improve our ability to negotiate, build relationships, and gather global business intelligence. It strengthens our capability to learn from international best practices and innovations that are mostly communicated in English. English management is part of making the company more adaptive, efficient, and ready for opportunities, whether local or potentially international in the future.

For PT Midi, English management means investing in training programs that develop employees’ English skills, encouraging daily use of English where appropriate, and creating a culture that values clear and confident communication. This can include using English in meetings, corporate documents, training sessions, or when communicating with potential foreign partners. It also means supporting leaders and staff to keep improving their English continuously. Ongoing development empowers employees, making them more confident in their roles, enabling them to contribute more effectively to business goals and future expansions. Managing English is, therefore, not just a language matter but a tool for better collaboration, innovation, and leadership within the company.

In addition, managing English well supports the personal growth of every individual in the company. Understanding and using English can significantly expand career opportunities, both inside and outside the company. It encourages employees to pursue higher education, professional certifications, or international exposure. When employees feel confident in their English skills, it boosts morale and motivation, creating a healthy and dynamic workplace. For PT Midi, this translates into higher productivity, better service for customers, and a stronger market position.

Technology also plays a big role in managing English today. The availability of online learning platforms, mobile applications, virtual classrooms, and AI-powered language tools allows PT Midi to provide flexible and efficient English learning for its employees. Using these technologies, employees can practice at their own pace and customize their learning according to their professional needs. As President Commissioner, I support these initiatives because they help create a continuous learning culture essential for staying competitive.

In conclusion, managing English is important from both a personal and corporate perspective. Personally, it builds confidence, opens opportunities, and facilitates lifelong learning. For PT Midi, English management is a strategic asset that supports communication, business development, innovation, and leadership readiness. It helps the company maintain competitiveness in a diverse and evolving market, and equips both leaders and employees with the tools to excel in their roles. Managing English well is therefore not just a language skill but a meaningful, powerful enabler of success in today’s interconnected world.

A Short Story About Me

Hi, my name is Nafasha Ananda Rachmadyanti, and I’m from the Management study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pamulang. I was born on September 12, 2006, and I’m the first child in my family, which sometimes makes me feel like I have to be a good example for my younger siblings.

Since I was in high school, I’ve always been interested in learning English. I knew from the start that English is a global language, and it is very important, especially if you want to work in business and management in the future. In high school, I often practiced English with my seatmate. We made a lot of mistakes, but we laughed about it and kept going. Those little practice sessions actually helped me a lot when I started college, because now I’m no longer too shy when speaking English, even if sometimes I still get it wrong. I believe making mistakes is part of the process.

At home, I also like to practice English with my sibling, and it always becomes an enjoyable activity. Besides studying, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and of course, spending time with my cat, Miu. Music and movies in English are not only entertaining for me, but also one of the best ways to learn new vocabulary and expressions naturally. Sometimes I even catch myself repeating lines from movies or singing along just to practice my pronunciation.

For me, improving my English isn’t just about the language itself, it’s about confidence, opening up to more knowledge from global sources, and preparing myself for future career goals. I hope I can keep learning and growing, and maybe one day use my English skills to connect with more people around the world. That’s a little story about me and how much I enjoy learning English. Thank you.
